Can anyone give me a quick way to dispose of household goods other than trading post, ebay and bothersome garage sales?
My mum passed away and we want to clear out the house and sell everything.
Working full time makes being available for callers to view items so very time consuming and makes the whole process long term.
We also have antique china to sell and want to know how we can get a true value for it and not get ripped off by dodgy dealers. Anyone been through this who could help us?

Weekend Open House with price tags on all items. Have family and friends available to walk around to assist with enquiries.

Options you may not have tried:
1. Call a couple of 2nd hand Auction places to see if they will come out a take a look and offer you a price for the whole lot and take it away then and there;
2. Lastly if you are felling charitable ring up a local one and they may come around to take it all off your hands

| Hi Janel030, I know you wanted something other than e-bay, trading post etc. but I had to do exactly the same thing when my mum passed away so I know how traumatic it is. However I wish there was e-bay then because the market sets the price of your goods. I think the extra work involved is worth while. I didn't want anyone going through my mum's house and her things so I didn't do the garage sale thing and sent everything to an auction place - big mistake for me anyway - ripped off badly. It might be worthwhile storing the goods for a little while and sell everything off a bit at a time when you are free. There are also traders that will sell on e-bay for you and take a percentage. Food for thought. Best wishes
