Yeah! It does look similar but i still really like it. Much better than the Magna/Falcadore looking dinosaur it replaces. The VZ must have been one of the most hideous cars i have ever seen. About time the killed the Opel sourced omega chassis off i think. Considering that this was killed off in Europe in 1996.

What do u rekon of the new HSV's? Have you seen the suspension system they have for the GTS?

I dont really like it dude, i think it looks rather "Whale-ish" in appearnce. The HSV on the other hand, looks pretty cool. I heard about the susp, some sort of magnetic ride thingy? Not bad at all.... I wonder what the falcon in 2008 will have. Pretty hard act to follow i think.

I generally hate holdens too but you have to admit, they have done a decent job after the monstrosity of the VT/VZ series cars. They've finally washed their hands of that train wreck and built a descent car. I mean, overhead valves in a V6? What was the point of that?! Those kind of Vsixes went the way of the dodo in the early 80's. Semi trailing are independant rear suspension? They might as well have stuck with live axel, and that four speed auto! Finally they have either a 5 speeder or a 6 speeder on offer depending on what model you choose. Unfortunately the 1987 VL Commodore 4 speed auto (albeit recalibrated) is still in the VE, perhaps VE series II will mean the death of that one.

You have to give credit where credit is due though, Massive, MASSIVE improvment on what they had before.

Oh well, everytime theres a change to a model and a new shape is released, most die hards, don't like it.

Give it time and the look and style will grow on you.

Mr Average, the intended market for this family vehicle, does not put a lot of stock in the type of suspension used or how fast it will get to 100km per hour.

Its gotta look decent and sporty if you are having a midlife crisis.

But one wonders, will Mr Average be able to afford to run it???

Petrol @ $2 a litre in the near future???

I think our car manufacturers need to seriously consider fuel ecomomy a major requirement in Car Manufacturing, or they will soon see themselves out of business
