| The missus is raving about these and wants some for her birthday. Are they still the best out there? They aren't cheap and have been around for years (which I know is a good sign!) but surely some of the newer makes are as good?

| well I have had a GHD since 2005, Its been GREAT!!!! Still working as good as when i first got it... My hair is sooo curly, and i have used My ghd every day of my life!!!! as i hate curly hair!!!, not even my partner has seen me with curly hair in months haha... Love my ghd, If i did buy another straightner, it would be for a newer version of the GHD, LOL, or mabey a pink one, hehe....
