I got a WRX too and I've kept it as stardard. Much better I say!

Ummmm.... Try a roller bearing turbo? Maybe one off a skyline? Deffinantly a Pod filter, do this if its noise your after. If its power you want and a spool noise and power be prepard to spend some money! Go a GT35/40 roller turbo, intercooler, bigger fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure reg just as a start, once you start you will never stop!!!
