Anyone know who might repair a 1950's Sunbeam mixmaster in Brisbane. Needs work on the (I think) variable resister and the usual repair guys can't do it.

I think you can send them back to Sunbeam actually - why don't you call Sunbeam to find out?

1300 881 861 is the free call number within Australia.

I hope this helps!

Hi
I have been repairing and restoring Sunbeam Mixmasters for many years.
I do full overhauls which cost $125 plus parts. (I call to let the customer know what parts are required and how much)
This entails completely stripping the machine down, inspecting all parts for wear, cleaning then rebuilding it with new grease and seals.
Restoration costs $400. This includes the above plus fully stripping the paint and reapplying paint in any colour and new decal.
Ready for another 50 years service.
I am located in Adelaide so postage to and from would be extra.
If you decide to go ahead, I would only require the motor to be sent.
Hope that helps.
