Sunbeam mixmaster

Anyone know who might repair a 1950's Sunbeam mixmaster in Brisbane. Needs work on the (I think) variable resister and the usual repair guys can't do it.

Hi to all you beer drinkers out there. just a question in general ok may seem a little odd - but if i dont solve this problem fast - i think i will be divorced LOL).

I wash my partners beer glasses yes with dishwashing liquid and a bottle brush type of brush rinse with boiling water let air dry etc . I have even put all the glasses into the dishwasher - done them on their own etc etc - it seems that nothing i do will stop his beer from going flat.

Well personally i think it is the vb cans fault !! come on someone - this excuse is running very very thin - does anybody else have this problem when pouring beer from cans.??

any help or backup would be greatly appreciated

Gambitware Australia & New Zealand

I've been collecting Gambitware from both Australia and New Zealand for just over a year.

I'm having difficulty working out who made these lovely plates & dishes and from what the items are manufactured. The only clue is on one piece. On the base it says... GAMBIT PTY. LTD. MELBOURNE. But no matter how I search, there is nothing to indicate any knowledge of the maker or the material.

They come in pastel colours of pin dishes to platters and bowls to cake trays in a material like bakelite. But if damaged, it chips & flakes, breaking down into powdery chips, impossible to fix. The powery substance is like plaster of paris. The undamaged Gambitware surface is plasticy, which I polish with a soft cloth after gently cleaning.

The Aussie Gambitware says so on the base with the appropriate name as above in the title description. The Kiwi Gambitware only has the name GAMBITWARE printed on the base. Is it a New Zealand company too?

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I will be most grateful. I am constantly looking for new pieces to add to the collection.

Hi, I'm looking for furniture for my first home. I haven't really got any cash so I wanted it cheap. Friends and family have got a few things they are giving me but not much. Does anyone know places around the area from Geelong to Warrnambool with furniture. I basically have nothing so I also need things like towels, cutlery, knifes forks etc. I still need beds, cupboards, couches just general stuff.

Furniture that’s a little bit different?

Can any one please reccomend some good furniture stores around Sydney that sell furniture that is a little bit different to the stuff you find in the major stores?

I want to deck my house out with arty/different styled furniture rather than the stuff everyone has.

ATOMIC STOVE TOP COFFEE MAKER FROM THE 50/60s

Dishwashers - How much water do they use?

How much water does a dishwasher use in comparison to washing the dishes by hand.

I use a dishwasher since moving to our new house as the sink area is to small to wash by hand but if dishwashers use an obscene amount of water I may reconsider.
