I have advertised on Trading Post and on ebay in the last few days and I just keep getting SMS's from overseas numbers asking if still for sale blah blah and email them at gmail account. Except for today they are shaking it up with a yahoo account rose.kelly@0135@yahoo.com.

With ebay I keep getting emails offering to buy it now with PayPal.

It is so annoying, why are they not doing more to stop them it is out of control!

There should be a central reporting agency that has the authority to simply deactives the SIM cards or close down email accounts if they are suspected scam artists.

They need to be played at their own game, someone needs to create a really bad virus and put it in an attatchement so we can reply to these people and put - account details in following attachement, so when they open it it stuffs up their computer.

Or need to think of other ways that makes these people go to so much effort like supplying fake accounts so it consumes thier time and they stop making so much money from people who fall for this *****.

Can't see the Gov or anyone else being able to do enough about it, and I don't want to sell a car again with this bullshit wasting my day and worrying if they might someone acess my personal information or get into my computer.

RE: Scam selling used car

Hi i have had the same scam tried on me by a email address susan-owen.net, this person wanted to paypal me the money and get a agent to pick the bike up same scam as this.

beware susan-owen fake

Scam selling used car

I was selling a used car recently when i received a tradingpost message from a user asking me if the car was still available.

I replied to his seemingly legitimate gmail account and he replied asking relevant questions stating he was out of the country and was buying the car for a friend. He stated he would buy the car through paypal, and would send the payment before an "agent" arrived to pick it up. So it all seemed fairly real until i received a fake paypal email, and then another email stating his payment would not be allowed through by paypal unless i directly pay his agent $800. At this point clearly i knew it was a scam, and i continued to post it on the relevant forums etc.
