yeah - I use my USB flashdrive as a temp backup too. So simple, plug in, drag and drop and then presto, you're done.

Windows Backup (not installed in XP Home, but included by default in XP Pro) backs up Quick Launch, Favourites, Desktop icons, Registry settings, etc

There is also the 'File and User Profile Migration' tool.

I stored all the files that were important to me that i didn't want to lose on my flashdrive. Its very handy cos i just put it into my usb and save whatever. They are inexpensive enough nowadays to buy also making them accessible to anyone. Can you tell me about this place online that allows you to store up to 50gig of data. thats a lot of space. what's the catch?

What do other people do to secure files from hard drive failure, viruses, etc. ? Some files backed up to disc survived but lost many other bits and pieces.. favorites, email addresses, etc etc.

Found a secure place to store 50GB on line if anyone wants to know.
