I am looking for a timber (plank) row boat to convert into a play pirate boat for the back yard. Brisbane area. Seaworthiness not required.

Hi,
everyone I am new to the forum, I have a 15hp mercury outboard motor. I flush the motor after every use but recently I find that if I spin the prop by hand it sounds ruff as though there is a bearing running dry and grinding. Does anyone know if there is a bearing behind the prop and could I replace it myself or would i have to take it to a marine mechanic, Any advice would be apprciated thanks.

I placed my add under speedboats and i feel it would have more viewers under marine/ boats. Can this be change once the add is place both in the paper and online.

Flushing the motor

When I use my 16 foot savage at my shack I have no access to running water. How long can a motor sit without being flushed?. Usual trip are about 3-4 days

Buying my fist board

Ive been looking on the Trading Post for a second hand surfboard. The problem is there are too many and I'm not sure what I should be looking for.

I'm new to surfing and until now have been using a mates board (a malibu with the nickname Queen Mary, because it's so big it takes for ever to turn).

I had been thinking of going a bit smaller, maybe getting a mini mal, but as a beginner is this the right thing to do?

Where can I rent a tinnie for a week ?

Bit of a long shot here - I am going to spend a week by the bay (ie, Port Philip) in the first week of January 2007. I wanted to take my 2 little kids fishing for the first time and am looking for a little tinnie I can putt putt around in (up to 10 hp) for the week.
Would prefer to rent/hire one if possible from non commercial operation (ie, "cheaper"). Anyone know anyone who would want to rent their tinnie ??
