I was having trouble with my central locking,It constantly would go up and down when I would either use the remote or press the button inside.I thought the right thing would to do is take it to Ford for a professional to look at.He said he would have to take all the inside trimmings off on each door and look for the faulty Actuator(Ford charges $98hr labour),And after I was told that ford doesnt even sell Actuators for these models anymore,I was told I would have to up grade the central locking from my model to an AU costing $1500 parts and labour, and have to leave my car there all day. So after 5 minutes of research on the internet I found out what an Actuator looks like,I took each door trimm off my self and disconected each Actuator myself then pressed the remote to see if the central locking would work,I located the faulty One. Online Actuators are about $24 for the rear doors and $91 for the front. The only problem I had was that the actuator has to pop-rivets(not alluminium) but hardened steel rivets.I took it to a local electrician who took it off for me and replaced with the alluminium pop-rivets for $35.The whold job including a brand new actuator,$5 postage and the local electrician cost me$64.The central locking works like new now.Just wanted to say that dont be conned by Ford, you can do it with the help of online buying and about 2 hours yourself, cheers
