Hi
Is it something I do not understand, or the trading post is trying to play smart with costumers ?
I have a roof for a honda jazz for sale .
I managed to fill all the requiered details ,and in the and I cannot submit(publish) my add, because I am asked to autorise "tradingpost" to automatically debit my credit card .
Knowing the AUCTION IS FREE ,I am surprised of how the trading post is playing wiht the words first saying the AUCTION IS FREE then asking me in the end to autorise them to debit my credit card.
It is not the first time I had a question mark about the way "trading post" is doing the business.
In the last 3 years I did advertise (on line) for sale 2 cars,I did pay for adds, being told the add will be active UNTIL SOLD.
Every time I did RENEW THE ADDS( HOPING THE ADDS WILL STAY ACTIVE UNTIL SOLD) ,BUT THE ADDS NEVER REAPEARED .
Is this a smart way to rip off the costumers or I do not understand how the "trading post" is doing business?
Every time I emailed this problems I DID NOT RECEIVED ANY ANSWERS.

Well the answer to your question lies with the owner.
Guess who owns TradingPost - Telstra -
and we know how good Telstra are at answering questions !!!
You dont realy expect an answer from them do you??
As far as having to provide your credit card up front??
Well I can understand that - lets face it, if people can get away without paying for their add once the item is sold, they will - so I guess TradingPost want credit card up front so that when (or if) you sell your item, they can collect the selling fees.

| Yes, posting the AD itself is free.. but if you sell the item TradingPost takes a certain % of the selling price for itself.. hence them needing your credit/debit card details.
