Hi guys,
I recently got a new car and I have been shopping around for a nice looking and affordable window tint.
I would like to know what is best to go with a Metallic Black exterior though? - a friend of mine suggested to get a tint with a metallic sheen, but I'm not sure, as the car is already metallic?
and how dark? - what would the darkest legal tint be?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

yes, your friend is right! - generally black cars look nice and slick with a metallic sheen in the tint.
looks nicest if you do the back window slightly lighter than the side windows.

should look at the Tint Professor.
They give good advice on what kind of tint would be suitable for your lifestyle and the "look" you want for your car.

Have had work done by Tint A Car in the past and it lasted the life of the car.
Have recently had the unfortunate experience in dealing with the Tint Professor recently and was not satisfied with their work. Tried to get a refund under their 30 day satisfaction guarantee and ended up having to deal with the main owner. Would not wish that experience on anyone. Needless to say he is not the best person to deal with. I would not rely on any of their guarantees in making your decision.

So I see you had the unpleasurable task of dealing with Ric too hey.
Id never take any car there again. They managed to put a dent in my one day old Skyline - didnt own up to it (rather very relucantly). Didnt offer any compensation for the damage. Ric popped most of the dent back, but still left a small dent.
Came back next day to get them to fix it for me - and i never forget the way he drove my car out of the Tinting workshop to the panel beaters. Not a care in the world that the car is not his. Came back, said it was a huge job, and that he has no time blah blah.
Took it to my dealer, who had me take the car to a contact of his - didnt require any panel removal, and cost only $100 to fix.
Sent the copy of the reciept to Ric and only got paid $70 out of the 100.
So the tinting cost $320 odd + damage + me having to pay $30 extra to get it fixed.
Yeah, like im going to take my car back there......
And Im not hte only person who had problems with these people before. They had a forum where people posted their negative experiences, and guess what - their forums is now closed!
Never going back again - the tinters looked dodgey and the owner is abusive. Not the best way to run a business.
