| Hey can anyone help me i bought a car of a guy that still has 6 mos rego on it. the car is legal numbers match i checked with nsw rta,problem is the guy doesnt have the rego papers as he sold the car for his brother that moved overseas. i have a reciept and a copy of his license but thats all anybody got any ideas???

Registration is shown by the plates, and the rego sticker on the windscreen (at least in Victoria it is). I think that's all you need. If you have ownership queries you could contact the RTA. If it's still in original owner's name parking tix and speeding fines will get sent to them
maybe it's different in nsw...
