I am trying to re-list two expired adverts. I get the error message - "Full description must not contain over 50000 characters."

Given that I have not revised anything on the adverts. that was successfully showing on the TP site on previous occasions, why am I suddenly told that I have too many characters?

Any help appreciated.

Greg

Hi echy2007,

I've had a chat to the site team and they are looking into this. I'll let you know once they get back to me.

thanks, Lisa

Hello again

Just adding to my earlier post I have just tried to alter a word in the heading section of a listing & I am getting the same error message which seems a little weird.

Looking forward to the tech people's response to my queries.

Thanks
Greg

As at 7.30 am 29/08/08 the same problem continues.

Any progress on this problem yet?

Sincerely

Hello

I use Firefox, just switched to version 3.0.1 although had exactly the same problem when using whatever was the last version 2.

Thanks for your interest.

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the follow up.

It appears from other discussions I'm involved in that the Trading Post site is having some issues with Firefox. These issues don't appear with Internet Explorer, so maybe you could use IE as a temporary work around until the issues are resloved.

I've been using IE since I started and haven't had the problems you describe, so I can only assume that it is a browser issue.

I'll let you know if I hear any more.

Cheer
Bruce

Hello

You were 100% correct. When I tried IE the problem did not exist.

It is certainly a browser problem with Firefox V2.0 & V3.0.

Thanks for your valued assistance.
