Fake Emails - Phishing Scam
We have received reports of a fake email (phishing) being sent to Trading Post members, this email is asking users to list items for sale on behalf of a Verified Trader who is currently outside of Australia and is unable to list the items.Trading Post strongly recommends you do the following: - Ignore the request and forward the email to investigations@tradingpost.com.au and then delete the email from your Inbox and Deleted Items
- Run a virus and malware scan on the computer that was used to view/open the email
- Do not reply to the email, if you have done so cease all contact with the seller immediately
- If you have given the seller any personal details eg password, the answer to your secret question you should contact us immediately on 1300 138 016

Trading Post will never send you an email asking you to list items on behalf of another seller Below is an example of the email you may receive and the reply from the seller: To: Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2008 8:08 AM Subject: This require your attention !
This is an automated email
Hi, Our VerifiedTrader ******* needs a seller who is willing to advertise 6 items for him because he is out of Australia and he cannot post the items. You will receive a 15% comision from the sales. If you are interested please contact the seller via e-Mail at . We appreciate your cooperation and assistance.
