I was driving to work today and when driving through a recently relaid road the car in fromt of me flicked a stone that hit my widscreen and chipped it.

I'm told that you can fix chips rather than replace the whole windscreen. Can anyone tell me whether this is correct?

yes you can get chips repaired, there are lots of companies that will come to you and fix the chip or you can take your car in - try the yellow pages under windscreen repairs
