I am looking to sell an old set of golf clubs and some of the clubs have a bit of surface rust. I have tried scrubbing with soap and water etc but this not really removed the rusts so I probably need a more powerful cleaning agent to remove the rust, does anyone know what products will remove the rust but not damage the clubs?

You could try that universal, all powerful cleaning agent - that's Coke!

Just don't leave them soaking for very long.

Most irons are made of stainless steel or similar. A good stainless steel metal polish usually works for me. For tough stains use a non-metal scourer. Both items can be picked up at Big W.

Does Coke really work? telescope

Haven't tried it before.

The only one I've heard of is coke can dissolve a whole tooth!

coke doesn't work - Mythbusters disproved that myth.

Try petrol. As a young un, we used to whinge about rust on our BMX, so Dad told us to get a cloth, and soak it in fuel, then rub on the rust. it got rid of the surface rust fairly easily. Just try not to breathe too hard
