I'm about to put some new wheels on a car I have been working on, just wondering should I leave this to the professionals (tyre shop) or just have a go at doing it myself?

Do you mean just putting the wheels on the car? Changing the wheels on a car is not hard and not designed to be hard, just make sure you do the wheel nuts up properly and not cross thread them (a pain to get undone later on and strips the thread). Providing they are the right offset for the car etc it will be fine, you may need to get the car balanced etc.
