Asking a seller a question is a great way to find out about the item before buying so that you know exactly what the item is that you are purchasing.

You can ask a seller a question about Buy Now or Make an Offer items online using your alias.

When you ask a question it is automatically sent to the seller’s email address. If they haven't replied it may be because they haven't yet checked their email.

You could try rewording your question and then send another email just to make sure the seller has understood what you are asking.

When the seller replies their response is:

  • emailed to you, and
  • displayed in your Items of Interest in My Trading Post®.

Some tips when asking questions…

·         You may be competing against other buyers for the item so ask all your questions in one hit to reduce the risk of another buyer getting in first.

·         Be as clear and concise as possible so the seller understands exactly what you're asking and can answer you quickly.
